Here is Elsa on Reynisfjara the fabled black sand beach in Iceland.
Most Icelandic people believe that they coexist on Iceland with other magical creatures. Iceland’s history and culture are tied to these mythical or real creatures, like trolls, giants, and fairies.
On July 31, Icelandic people celebrate Alfa Brenna. During this holiday, they make a bonfire and dance and sing songs about these wonderfully strange creatures.

In Iceland folklore, the two jutting basalt stones on the Black Sand beach Reynisfjara are fabled to be friends or family separated. Another Icelandic folk story tells the tale that these large basalt columns were once trolls or giants that were trying to pull ships in from the ocean at night, but they forgot about the new day coming and once sun rise happened the trolls or giants were turned into stone.
