Inuit use skin canoes. The Inuits have been living here for tens of thousands of years if not longer. Very inhospitable surroundings. Strong people survived. Lands not full of timber nor gold. Boundless snow fields stretching white. The Inuit subsists from the sea. The Inuit live from the West coast of the Bering Straits over Alaska, the North Coast of Canada group of the Arctic Islands, Nunavet, and over to the west and east coasts of Greenland.
