JANE GOODALL WITH A CHIMP FRIEND

A Little Bit About Jane Goodall:

Jane’s Birthday is April 3rd, and she was born in 1934. When Jane was growing up her parents gave her a stuffed Chimpanzee that she loved the second she received it, the Chimp Jubilee now sits in her house in England. Jane first traveled to the Gombe forest in 1960. When she was sent there to do her research many people had their doubts on whether she would secede or not. Though because she had lots of patience she did secede. One cool fact about Jane is that her son “grub” was born in Kenya in 1967. One interesting fact about Jane is that while she was observing the chimps in Gombe she says she wore low-top canvas sneakers like converse shoes, but she mostly went barefoot.

Geneticists estimate the evolutionary split between humans and chimps occurred between 9.3 and 6.5 million years ago. Makes you just want to climb a tree, eat a banana, or show someone the sole of your foot.
